8-10

On our bedtime walk, Ashton and I started counting as a distraction. He does pretty well up to 4 or 5, after which he just starts spitting out random numbers. Today his favorite went 4,5 . . .8,10. I tried over and over again to slip a "9" in, but he just kept correcting me, quickly and gruffly saying "8,10" as if I'd never learned to count correctly. The things your kids will teach you . . . apparently I've been counting incorrectly my whole life.

beckham does pretty well with 1-12, but after that he likes to make up numbers, too. so even though he has 11 and 12, apparently there are still such numbers as eleven-teen and twelve-teen AFTER 11 and 12.

So it's 8, 10 is it? Good thing we grown-ups are never too old to learn!

Love you guys!

Well, duh! How can you even think a nine goes into that sequence? It is a good thing your kids still have time to teach you some things.
